Slayter - "Backpain" Cover ArtFor New York–based rapper Slayter’s single Backpain, I designed the cover art to capture the raw honesty
and heavy emotional weight of his music.

The creative direction channeled Slayter’s gritty East Coast roots, using dark tones, sharp textures, and a sense of compressed pressure to visually convey survival, pain, and unspoken resilience. The goal was to translate the emotional intensity of the track into a visual form that matched its sound and story.

This project showed how cover art can become a storytelling device, not just a wrapper for a release. By grounding the design in the artist’s identity and lived reality, the visuals helped reinforce the authenticity of the music and strengthen the connection between Slayter and his audience.
